Driving is difficult and parking is rare and expensive. So you may want to forget the rental car, get a hotel in the Quarter, and break even! |

Along St. Charles AvenueOne of the best bargains is to stay in one of the many hotels along Saint Charles Avenue, the posh street leading upriver from the Quarter. The famous streetcar runs along St. Charles from the French Quarter all the way to any of these hotels. The Jackson/Esplanade bus will take you right to Ashton's B&B too! They're fun, convenient, cheap ($1.25) , safe, and runs until late at night every day. These hotels are less expensive than in the Quarter and you probably don't need a rental car! |
